Any race with a racial reaction modifier worse than -3 (coleopterans, corpse-eaters, gargoyles, goblin-kin, half-ogres, minotaurs, ogres, reptilians, and trolls) will generally be very poorly treated in Town, and this bad attitude will rub off on non-creepy party members.

While reviewing this, I noticed that the rule from DF3 is "Equal to or worse than -3", not "worse than -3". Relaxing it to how I wrote it above would allow in Gargoyles, Half-Orcs, Infernals, and Wildmen. --Jerril 14:44, 26 March 2010 (UTC) And Wildmen should be on the verboten list as written, as they have a total reaction penalty of -3 (-1 for Appearance, -2 for Social Stigma). --Jerril 14:45, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

If you're coming up with useful armor enchantments, might I highly recommend Hardened? Armor Piercing Effects for weapons are so cheap, it makes sense for there to be a cheap work-around: around the cost of Deflect or Fortify, basically. I know I added it late in the 1st Westmarch game and I think it would have really helped.

Oh, that's a good one. Suggestion taken!

Although, on further reflection I think it should be more expensive than just DR - Otherwise why get +1 DR when you can stop your DR 4 or more armor from being halved?

Penetrating Weapon has the exact same cost as Puissance. Why get +1 damage when you can cancel 4 or more points of DR on that heavily armored foe?

Since Fortify always helps, but Harden only helps if the enemy is using Bodkin points or Penetrating Weapon, then Harden should be no more expensive than Fortify.
